The central element of the training pack is the play itself, and the DVD contains a specially-produced, full-length performance of w@rn (running time: 55 minutes).
A series of "talking-head" monologues from each of the characters then adds further depth and insight into the themes explored by the play. For example, Sarah, the central character, describes why she found it hard to leave, and shares her feelings about the effects of the abuse on her children.
The third section of the DVD contains interviews with a range of people working in the field of Domestic Abuse, including representatives of local government, a women's refuge manager, a police officer and a solicitor. The section opens with the playwright, Helen Nelder, explaining why she wrote w@rn and what she wanted the piece to convey to its audiences.
